R10 Tivo not recognizing Satellite 2 connection

My Tivo R10 was acting weird some time ago in that one of the connections was not regognized by the receiver. I went to the extreme measure of running a new line from the multiswitch. This worked for a while with no problems. Now the receiver will not recognize the satellite 2 connection. I have rebooted several times. I have switched the cables and both are active in satellite 1. Any suggestions?

If you have a miltimeter use a small coax jumper or the one used for TV Out and test Tuner 2 for 13v and 18v that will tell you 100% if the second tuner is failed.

ther's a known problem with some TiVos that causes this situation when you have the s-video cable connected. If you are using s-video remove the cable and replace with a yellow composite video connection, see if the problem goes away.
the problem is apprently electrical and can't be fixed by software.
