Review: consumer receiver natively tuning 4:2:2

I believe you can go to intstall and go to TP list and add or edit on it.

Once you get in TP list it will show the freq, bitrate and the H or V.

There are 4 color buttons listed at the bottom of the screen.

Hopes that helps!! :) :hatsoff2

Following this procedure, for a TP you can edit using the remote control the frequency, symbol rate, polarity, PLSN (Gold or Root), PLSN Number (0 to 524288), T2MI TP (No, T2MI, TLS), T2MI PID (0 to 8191). I don't see any way to edit the VPID or APID this way.

cyberham did you ever get an editor to work with the V9 to edit PIDS?
I'm taking a fresh look at the PC-based editor for the V9 Prime now. I don't see a way to edit VPID or APID for a scanned channel. When you edit a channel, VPID and APID fields stay greyed out. So you can see the field contents but you can't change them. The only reason I use this editor is to arrange all the satellites in the order I prefer (from west to east) so when I rotate the dish, each satellite comes up logically.

Whereas on the V7S5X PC-based editor (different editor from the V9), I can edit the VPID and APID for a channel. I've never needed to do this.

From the orange channel functions, there is a PID editor using the remote. But I can't get the new PIDs to stick after doing a save. They always return to the original numbers. It's either non-functional, or there is some trick that I haven't figured out

lost_mesa :

From the main menu, go to Channel, TV Channel List, select a channel, press green button on the remote, then press OK. That brings up this screen which allows you to edit video and audio PIDS.

Works for me! Easier than using the editor. And I could save my changes. Maybe the box firmware version is important. My S/W version is V203.03.06.28.207 March 18, 2025.

Added: Doesn't work! I could save the new PID. But when I exited out to watch the channel and change channels, then the old PID returned.

Added2: From long ago, I learned if you want to change PIDs, you must also change its SID. Or the info gets written over as soon as you receive the signal. So try changing to any unused SID and maybe the new PID info will stick.

Got it to work on radio channel. On 101 KU, 12000 V 20000, WRAL scans in on a blind scan, however it has no audio. Change VPID to 0, change APID to a Muzak/Mood APID, change PCR PID to 0, hit Save. The audio will then change when you exit the menus.

HOWEVER, if you change away from that channel and then back, it reverts to WRAL's old PIDS.
