RIP John

I have wondered for quite some time how we would ever know if someone had passed away that visits these forums. Anybody could just pass away at any time and nobody really know.

Wow, sad news indeed. I remember John helping me with the tables in the uplink reports as I used to do them by hand bringing the uplink reports, prior to getting deployed, and digiblur taking over the rains. I wish John and his family all the luck. May he RIP.

We should rename the uplink forum in his memory.

Kinda makes me want to tell others around me that if something ever happens to please visit a few forums and let people know what happened.

I used to be a regular on another forum that added a "Next of kin" field to the user profile. It was completely optional, of course, and only viewable by site admins... just a place to drop a name and phone number so that in a case like this Scott could've made a phone call to find out what was up.
