Scrambled channel on KU Telstar 5

[Mac 2]

I have a Captive Works CW-600S Premium receiver on a SG 2100 Motor. I set the antena for the satellite and get about 80% signal strenght and about 50% signal quality. I run blind search (easy tuning). It finds about 119 channels but all of them are shown as scrambled -- no picture or sound.

I think I have set up my antena right (zip code 46038, longitude 85.6W, latitude 39.6N). The only thing I m not sure about is the motor elevation angle -- I don't know 39.6 should be on the elevation or on the latitude scale of the motor.

Could anyone please help ?

I guess you are pointing at the wrong satellite, any channel names?

It may be an idea to remove the motor for now and use the below angles to find the satellite first!

I would use AMC-3 @ 87ºw as a true south satellite when it comes to setting up your motor!

Motor Elev. = 50º

Dish (when on motor) Elev. = 24º

I m looking for persian channels like :
Jame Jam TV,IRIB,Payam TV,Pars TV (PTN),PEN,PNN
Kind of hard to remove the motor.
Why are you suggesting AMC-3 ?

AMC-3 is your True south satellite, its BEST to use this or another close by satellite at the (Zenith) top of your arc when setting up a motor.

I was meaning what channel names have you FOUND not what you want, from there we can tell you what way to move the dish

What does "scrambled" mean if these are all fta ?

I would double check Lyngsat against the channels you have found, let us know if the frequency is the same or way off.

We switched off the receiver and then switched it on and now it just works wonder !

I have a dual LNB and 2 receivers. Can I connect both LNBs to the motor with one switch ?

Just one LNB cabled through the motor the other can be run directly to the 2nd receiver. Only one receiver can be used to motor the dish!

You can't watch with motor from 2 satellites at the same time!
You can watch with 2 LNBs two different channels from the same sat at the same time.

Unless you are aiming at 101ºw and are using the Invacom QPH-031 Quad output LNBF where you can watch both DirecTV (If subbed) and AMC-4 at the EXACT same time

This morning I plugged another to the LNB. When I turned on the TV, I got a weak signal message. It found some of the channels on the satellite but with the weak signal message. Then I went and checked the first receiver that was working last night. That one was giving the weak signal message as well. Since then, I ve tried everything on the receiver that is connected to the motor but the dish cannot even find the satellite. I am puzzled. WHat has happened do your think ? What should I do ?
