Selling Receiver

I have an old Hughes Tivo that I am planning to sell to my friend, I am wondering if Directv will give me any trouble to do this, I have had this receiver for over a year so I own it by now. Will the people I sell it to have any trouble activating also will they be able to use the card that is in their current standard (Hughes) system?

friend should have no problem,
but they will need to do is get a new access card from directv
$20 fee

or free if friend ask nicely

They may be able to swap their card to the TiVo it will be at Directv's disgression.

I recently sold all of my old equipment (3 IRD's) to a dealer in FL. If D* gives your friend any trouble, refund his money and try to sell to a dealer.
