Setting up a system - Newbie

Hey guys!

I am new to this but really excited.

I found a CW-600Sat a resale shop in the box! The warranty card was still in the plastic!

Anyway, I am interested in setting up my system. I have checked on YouTube but can't seeme to find any vids of the step-by-step setup.

Any advice? I have a dish outside my house from a previous occupant. I'm not sure what kind though.

Where should I start?

What sort of programming are you looking to get?
You must have something in mind.

As for the dish you have, it's probably a DirecTV or DishNetwork dish, which isn't likely to be useful as-is.
If you have a real FTA dish (or are willing to get one), we can help ya.
Please describe it, any lettering on it, and the size (height and width)

The article is written specifically targeting a motorized system, but you can translate a lot of the information over to a single, fixed point dish as well. I hope that it helps explain some of the obscure items that you may not find in general descriptions and discussions.
