I have a Captain HD 8000 receiver, 18" dish 500. I hooked it up, and it powers up, but the menu would not come up, can you help me with this? Can you also give me the exact settings? My zipcode is 74727. I do not have a HDMI cable yet. Thank You.

You won't get much with such a small dish!
When you power up, you should see the menu right away normally. Choose your language first, etc.
If you don't see a menu, the unit is not working at all...
