On another board they are saying this receiver will do both blind scan and dvb-s2. Can anyone verify this. Dennis

Seems odd they would name it 360 HD and it not be HD capable, maybe its referring to hd as hard drive as in pvr. I've read elsewhere dealers have been told its hd and will do dvb-s2 and blind scan. I think they are all waiting for the box and then will report what it will do. So much hype, so much waiting.

There are 2 models....the 360 and the 360 HD

one has HD but the other does not...and as brent noted, it could be vapourware

HD also means Hard Drive, so maybe it's a 360 Hard Drive....?

Saw this on a site that is taking pre-orders "SonicView 360 Dual Tuner HD PVR", I'd say its a High def unit....will just have to wait until someone gets one and reports on it.

hehe, what confusion, the Elite, and Premier have been around for a while, go to Soniicviews website, they have both been available for a while. What the op was asking about in his subject line is the Sonicview 360 HD. As I said in my post above pre-orders are being taken now, it is indeed an hd unit.
Dennis12, I believe Rick is supposed to have his shortly so maybe we will have some news.

Specs don't mention mpeg4(h.264) support, so it may rule out dvb-s2 . That would be shortsighted of them.

The Sonicview 360 has 3 verisions
360 Elite- dual tuner for recording (standard def). This unit was released about 2 weeks ago.

360 Premier- single tuner for recording (standard def). This unit was just released this weekend.

360 HD- dual tuner for recording, and will be released in about 3 weeks.

I will post if I hear anything more news on the release for the 360HD.

Yes. I talked to Rick on the other board. He said its suppose to support dvb-s2. But he wont know for sure until he get one to work on. Which is suppose to be sometime soon. Dennis

Thanks Dennis12, I don't know why I get so excited about these new receivers, in the end there always seems to be something that they are missing that I want....you would think I would learn Anyway, heres hoping for dvb-s2:up
