I dont get why you keep bringing up 5 year old receivers?
Pretty much all of them you posted are DVB only so you'll be missing a bunch of programming and if they have AC3 you need something external to decode it. There are plenty of options out there that will do S2 and AC3 internally and wont cost a whole heckuva lot

hell I wouldnt even take one for free.....too many bugs in it and god forbid if you make even the teeniest mistake you brick it

TWO better choices

Well, better to ask and be told "no", than waste money on a junker and be stuck with it.

There is an S2- & AC3-capable receiver discussed at length on the forum in the $60 range.
Its a little buggy, but a far better value.
And then there's the one from SatelliteAV, with superior support, which isn't much more from eBay dealers.
The latter also renders SD programming much better, if that matters.

If its free go with it. I don't think it will decode AC3 its kind of old.
