Switched from Dish to Direct today - 2 questions

Hello all, just made the jump today from Dish Network to Direct, and have 2 questions regarding my new setup.

FYI I have 1 HR23-700 HD-DVR in the living room, and one HD Receiver in the bedroom.

My question is, with Dish(had a Vip 722), I was able to record and be able to watch my recorded shows on either TV, regardless of where it was recorded, ie, upstairs or down.

Do I have this option with Direct? So, if I upgraded the upstairs receiver to a DVR, would I have access to what recorded downstairs, upstairs, and vice-versa? Or am I required to watch it on the receiver it on whichever TV it originally recorded on?

Secondly, I have my new HR23 hooked up via ethernet, to my home network. How long does it take for the On-Demand features to become available? My installed said "a little while" and its been since 9am this morning, so does anyone have a more accurate timeframe?

Currently in a CE. If you download the CEs on Friday or Saturday night this will be available.

It should show up right away. Try resetting your receiver after you set up your network. This way your receiver can find your network.

My network is detected, but it says the On-Demand channels are not available.

- MRV has been removed from the current CE's since DirecTV is working on making this CE cycle a national release canidate. No word when/if MRV would be returned to the CE cycle.

- It can take up to 24 hours for your HD DVR to get populated with DoD channels once the network connection has been detected.

If I do get this CE with the MRV, how do I have to have my receivers hooked up? Both just on my home network, or is this done through the coax, or what? Do they both need to be DVRs?

Both over the ethernet on your home network and they don't both have to be DVR's.

I would hold off on the CE downloads until you have a good feel for how everything works. They are for people to test new software and if something goes wrong to report it, and of course things do go wrong.
