Switching Tuners

Is there any way to switch from tuner 1 to tuner 2 while watching TV?

On the newer DVR's (R15, R16, HR20/21) there is not unless you record both shows. On the older TiVo based models (R10) there is.

That's what I was afraid of. That is one thing I miss since switching from Comcast.

This is the one thing that I'm most disappointed with on my HR20. I can't tell you how many times I hit the down arrow on the remote when watching the HR20, only to hear a boop.

It's called the "previous channel" button. Closest thing you'll get to switching between tuners on the DVR. Every time you change channels, it switches tuners. Start on 201, on tuner 1. Change to CNN 202, now you're on tuner 2. Go up one more to 204 HeadlineNews now you're back on tuner 1. So on and so forth. Figured this one out troubleshooting tuner issues with the DVR's.

Well you would think they are working on the problem cause now you can record one channel(use to be two) then go to your second channel.Then go back and forth with the Prev button on the remote control.
