You don't have to be a new customer to get the H3 fee reduced to $ 10 but you"ll most likely need to talk to retention/;loyalty.
I had a 622 and also didnt want to change mainly due to the increase in the monthly fee but $10 I could live with.

.. no problems with our hopper ours don't do the nightly reboot unless were not using it. there's even settings you can change in the menu to make sure it waits till everyone's in bed. an internet connected hopper will give you on demand and ppv. plus you can do things like change packages if you need to and even pay your bill through the hopper and joey via the my dish app on the hopper and joey... an internet connection also allows them to remote in to see whats going on with it plus alot of other things... they will prob give it to you for 10.00 a month or i would ask them to since there shoving it down your throat
