I have a number of Primestar LNBFs
The two I grabbed from the pile are models NJR2110-1 and NJR2118F. Is there a way to test them other than in use? Like with an VOM ?

I want to go after G18 with a 1.2 meter Primestar dish

If you have a sat meter that will power the lnb, it is easy . Blocking it with your hand or pointing it at the sun should make the signal move if it is working. You can also use a reciever in leiu of a meter

sometimes those stock primestar LNB's work as good or better than a different LNB...especially if you are using a P* dish

I noticed with functioning C band LNBFs, if the meter is anywhere near the dish reflector it creates a sort of feedback on itself. I guess that test might work on a spare LNB on a dish not really aimed at anything. Just a quick and dirty test for any life at all.

I have tried several different LNBFs on my 1m Primestar dish and I prefer the original one. I only have the V side connected currently for G18.

Plus, the Primestar models look cool too.
