First am I posting in the right place?

I am an ITS designer/ Builder looking at the potential for a Sat head end solution for a small College and a few hotels.

The college is served by local cable to about 500 points at a sizable yearly cost.

They have 4 existing C band dishes and plenty of room in the data center.

Can a C Band head end be built at a reasonable enough price to compete financially against the cable co.

Please let me know what might be needed for analysis

Jim

C-band headends have been getting replaced for years because of the lack of programing options. (Unless you want to specialize in religious or international programing). A directv or dishnetwork system would definitely be an option though. I am in the buisness and probably less than an hours drive from you. I don't do large projects like this but pm me and I can get you in touch with someone who does.
