If I upgrade from and old hopper to the new hopper with sling can I transfer my timers or do I have to set them again. If I can transfer them how do I do it.

You should be able to backup the timers to the remote and then copy it to the new Hopper once you link the remote to it. I do not remember the specific steps at this time, but I'm sure another member will chime in.

Press and hold zero or use the remote manager.

Press and hold the zero button on your remote to start the system wizzard and follow the on screen instructions to back up your settings to the remote.
During the setup of the new Hopper when you link the remote it will detect the backup and ask if you want to restore the settings.
Choose yes and wait a bit and it will be all done.
