Thought this might be interesting/helpful to people...list of national HD TMP channels in the uplink tables as of this morning. I copied this for a OneNote table, so it didn't quite format right...basically, the first column is the TMP # (or letter), the second is the channel # (doesn't mean much), and then which birds are carrying this channel.

E 9472 129
20 9428 110
21 9430 110

55 4825 129 61.5
56 4826 129 61.5
57 4827 129 61.5

Summary...if Ciel-2 was already in place and ready to go, there would be 36 HD channels available to light up to people with 110/119/129 setups. But only 30 are available to 61.5/110/119, and only 25 for Eastern Arc. And to make it more confusing, there are only 23 available to all 3.

I also see some potential overloading on a couple of the 110 transponders, due to some "DRM" channels showing on The List as unavailable. I don't know what these are supposed to be. If you ignore the DRM channels, they seem to be loaded properly.

This is all assuming that these channel #s mean anything.

So- 23 channels coming soon? Maybe? Eh...whatever. Here are the numbers, go nuts.

EDIT- Sorry, they really didn't format well. It looks perfectly readable in the edit window.

Thanks for listing them I was wondering if we knew yet when the new channels are coming wasn't it some time this month.

I'm sure we'll be getting 23 National HD Channels 'soon'. Actually, don't we already have them? They're TMP channels. They provide 24/7 non-stop entertainment of nothing. Keeps me glued to the set! :)

Yes, actually, the uplinking/deleting of TMP HD channels and the subsequent fantasizing on these boards about what's coming is actually part of your Dish subscription: Dish Absolute Ephemeral HD. Charlie can afford to include it at absolutely no additional cost because of all the great deals he's struck on our behalf with providers for channels he's not offering.

To be fair, up until the TMP channels that went up in December, the uplink of a batch of TMP channels have been followed fairly quickly by turning most of them on.

We got spoiled back in April or whenever it was. They popped up a stack of TMPs on Friday and most of them were on the air, what, Monday?

Before someone starts going on about how there aren't even 23 HD networks available, that is clearly not the case. Here are 33 possible networks All of these channels are available NOW, not even including RSNs. Asterisk indicates it was on the 12/31/08 email as to what Dish intends to launch. (BET not on the list as it is not confirmed to have launched)

As someone pointed out in the uplink thread, I find it interesting that a bulk of the TMP HD channels are in the 4800 range. It very well could be that this is to get AK and HI up to what we on the mainland get for HD (or closer at least). I won't believe these are for us until they are turned on.

Yeah, but what would be the point of putting these channels on 129 & 61.5? If these channels were for AK and HI, wouldn't they just put them on 129?

They would be on spots, and they wouldn't be mirrored on 61.5.

Next random negative uninformed statement? :)

I think them going to the 4800 range has more to do with the 9400 range being full.

Or, considering how orderly they are, this might be just a new testing range.

The channel number doesn't mean much, right? Can't they just switch the number the same time they switch the name?

Good points guys, didn't think of the fact that they were uplinked to 61.5 too. Oh and M Sparks, yeah it wasn't a negative post, just not getting too hopeful yet, so won't be let down.

That is equivalent to the amount of entertainment that the HD PPV's are providing our household!
