I have a spare OTA dongle from Dish which I would like to use on my Windows 11 PC. I thought, as soon as I plug it in, the device would be recognized, but it is not recognized. Any suggestions?

The dongle is looking for software in the Dish receiver to tell it what to do. Your PC doesn't have that. It won't work.

What is your purpose Gary? Watch live local networks? Record?
You can consider a USB tuner where one end is connected to antenna cable and the other end is connected to PC USB port.
Read this article. It is over 3 years old. But, gives you some ideas.

Looks very similar to Hauppauge unit. That requires Hauppauge's software to use.
You need to pay for it to try it. I have it on my old desktop PC which is at the computer doctors for repairs so I can't test it out right now.

As I said in the other topic:

I believe the Dish OTA USB receiver is made by Hauppauge (at least the ancient single channel model was). They sell a Windows package. I don't know if the driver and app are available separately.
