I have a spare OTA dongle from Dish which I would like to use on my Windows 11 PC. I thought, as soon as I plug it in, the device would be recognized, but it is not recognized. Any suggestions?

The dongles are designed to work with Dish's Linux systems, not windows.

Being new to the board, am not familiar with other thread. If there is a solution please let me know.

I would start with google. What's your experience with writing drivers, reverse engineering, ARM-based SOCs (I'm guessing on that) etc.? I would expect this to be non-trivial but almost anything is doable if you're interested and willing to put in the time.

I believe the Dish OTA USB receiver is made by Hauppauge (at least the ancient single channel model was). They sell a Windows package. I don't know if the driver and app are available separately.
You are right. I am able to download the drivers from Hauppauge and it does recognize it but I ca't use it w/o their SW, which is asking for some code that is supplied with their packaging.

I will keep digging and update everyone.
