Video Game Deals

Great! I have been meaning to get to both Saints Row the Third and Dues Ex for a while now. I have been browsing for good PC sales on them but being a PS Plus customer I will just wait to get them for free. I go to their web store on my computer a couple times a month and "purchase" all the free PS Plus games for my PS3 and Vita whether I want them or not. That way if I ever get an urge to play any of them they are in my downloads list to get whenever I want.

Same here. If I ever get a Vita, I'll indeed have an "instant game collection" of over a dozen games, including some AAA titles like Uncharted Golden Abyss.

In case any of you feel that your Steam Games Library isn't big enough, and/or your HDD/SDD isn't utilizing all it's storage, there's another bundle deal out there. This time, it's the new Bundle Stars bundle, which has 12 games in it for $5. That's 12 games for $5. Part of it goes to charity from what I can tell.

That's cool and all and I definitely encourage as many competing bundle and deal websites for PC games as possible but I just don't have any interest in any of those games. I'll keep an eye on them for the future though.

Just picked up the Serious Sam humble bundle. I paid $4 to get 7 games that I have heard good things about but never played. I have no intention of playing all 7 of these games. I will pick and choose the best reviewed ones of the bundle and give them a shot.

I'm right there with you but not just with Steam. I also have a ridiculous backlog of PS3 and 360 games that I have no chance of finishing off before the new consoles are released. This is the gamer's life long struggle. When we are kids with summers off and all the time in the world to play games we don't have money to buy all the games we want. Then we grow up and get a real job so we can finally afford all the games we want but those jobs and all the other responsibilities of adult life mean we don't have time to play the games we want.

One thing I'm looking forward too being a PC gamer and probably a future PS4 owner... Every game in my setup will be stored on a hard drive now. Yes, I will still buy more games than I have time to play but at least I won't have stacks of green DVD and clearish blu-ray cases to shame me every time I sit down to relax.

The company will also bring two games per month, free of charge, to Xbox Live Gold members. The first game is Fable III, available now. July's two games are scheduled to be Assassin's Creed 2 and Halo 3. Additionally, it was announced that "hundreds" of games are still on the way for Xbox 360.

Sounds like Xbox Live Gold is trying to compete with PS Plus' free games. I have both so good for me. The 3 free Gold games they have announced so far do nothing for me. I already have Halo 3 and Assassin's Creed 2 and I don't have much interest in Fable 3. One upside to this. Apparently Microsoft lets you keep your free games even if you don't keep Gold. With PS Plus you lose them if you don't keep paying for your PS Plus subscription.

Yeah but PS Plus has like 12 free games a month and they are more modern. Unless Microsoft matches this I'd say Sony has the better deal at this point

Yeah but the new Mirror's edge isn't a sequel, but rather a reboot, because of course that's what a 5 year old IP needs..

Green Man Gaming is having another EA sale.

The highlight for me is the first 2 Mass Effect games for $5 each and Mass Effect 3 for $6. I almost picked them up so I could play the best version of my favorite gaming franchise ever. Then I started to think about all the games that are still in my backlog and decided that buying 3 more games I already own for a different system probably wasn't the best idea.

There are lots of Need for Speed games in the sale too but racing games have never been my thing so I don't know enough about them to make a recommendation.

I just picked up The Witcher and The Witcher 2 on steam for about $10 total. Both games are the enhanced edition. This was part of the weekend sale that ends at 1:00pm eastern.

Cool. I'll pick up Torchlight today and make sure to check out the new deals every day.

Another Humble Bundle. A nice thing about this one is that you get Android versions of the games as well as Windows/Mac etc. Sadly though one of the games I got off it that I really wanted isn't working on my phone (Broken Sword.) Still, it's 7 games that you can get for less than $5 right now.
