Video Game Deals

So there's another Humble Bundle for Devolver, although it doesn't seem to be advertised.

Seriously, can we all get Duke Nukem? I LOVED playing that multiplayer and we can all get it for $1 on this bundle sale. I'd love to Hail to the King, Baby..

I never played it but for $1 I can get in on this.

Edit: I'm not sure how you even found that. It's not listed under the weekly or regular bundle tabs. I don't see it listed on their store page either. Very strange that they would have a 3rd bundle going and not advertise it.

It was tweeted from @VideoGameDeals. They're where I get about 95% of my posts here from. I don't know why they're not advertising this. Clearly it's going to hurt sales. They don't even have $10k in sales. The Popcap one which was advertised has over $226k.

Duke Nukem 3d is an old school FPS. The level design sort of sucks but it's a blast to play. It hasn't aged completely gracefully since it's from that 2.5D era, but in this day and age of "realistic" FPS games with limited ammo and weapons, it's a refreshing change. And it's a hell of a lot closer to playing as "Rambo" than it is in the actual Rambo game that came out recently (and arguably has better graphics.)

Looks like this week for Humble we got PopCap games (Bejeweled, Peggle, Plants Vs Zombies, etc.) Not bad if you want some casual games, and EA isn't taking any profits from this either.

Thanks for the heads up. I just started dating an out-of-work computer programer who's never really been into video games but understands how they would be good time killers, based on my experience. I think I'll grab this as a gift for her since they are all simple casual games and would run on almost any system. Heck, for that matter I should also get it for my dad.

I think there's a lot of people like you who will be using these as gifts as opposed to for themselves.

It's a pretty good sales day for me. I'm picking up Rayman Legends from Steam for $13.59 and Sim City from Gamefly for $15.99. I was about to buy it for $17.99 before I saw your post about the promo code. Every little bit helps.

I'm curious about a couple other games but I think I will hold off for now.

I almost pulled the trigger on Arkham Origins, but I've decided I'm not getting that unless it's less than $10. I'm on the fence about picking up the Tony Hawk HD pack. It REALLY pisses me off that they decided to make a separate "Revert Pack" that held the levels from THPS 3 and Revert ability as DLC. Without the revert it's basically impossible to get the really high scores. It would be like playing Super Mario World without having the cape ability unless you pay for it.

PS4 for sale for $388 from Shop Rite. I'm not making this up. They have VERY limited stock.

I've never heard of this store but I like how they are listing the regular price at $465. I don't see anything bundled in so I don't know where they are getting that price from. It's still cheaper than anyone else is selling it for but not by as much as they claim. Personally I would rather spend the extra $12 on Amazon and get my free 2 day shipping.

For those that don't know, Shop Rite is a supermarket in New England. I shop there every week, so don't think that this isn't a legit store. Yeah it may not be the best deal, but there's a good chance you can get this without paying sales tax, and it's a guaranteed PS4. Just felt like sharing for anyone who still can't find one.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to say people shouldn't take advantage of this. Just a funny listing at an odd price, especially for those of use who didn't know what Shop Rite is.

Yeah and I assumed that Shop Rite was a national chain. It wasn't until I looked at other forums and then did research that I found out that Shop Rite was mainly a local chain.

I was picking up a few things at target and happened to see that they have Diablo 3 on sale for $19.99 (PC only). I was waiting for a PS4 version so I didn't have to deal with the real money auction house. Apparently that has been patched out recently to make the game as fun as the PS3/360 versions without dropping a bunch of cash. $20 is the best price I have seen for any version of that game so far so I picked it up.
