vip622 and two tv's

I would like to bring 2 tv's into the same room (if there is a busy day in sports) and watch 2 channels with my vip622 using the tv2 av connection on the back of the reciever. I can get a picture on both tv's but I cant figure out how to change the channel on the tv2 signal. Any ideas? My second remote lights up but does nothing. Its very frustrating. This shouldnt be that hard. Any ideas would help.

Is the receiver in Dual Mode?

Put receiver in dual mode and use UHF TV2 remote to change channel on TV2.
