Should be easy, then, to just put the node in the basement. With there being only 2 runs you'll be limited to a solo node and a single Hopper, but can have up to 3 Joeys IIRC.

When that next twister hits and removes your siding, you can run 3 nice new 3GHz rated coax from roof to basement! ;)

Hahaha, that's funny. Another question, is that node also the grounding block, or is there still a separate grounding block required?
 
It appears to me that it can be used for grounding. My Dish systems have never been grounded, though. node solo.jpg

Screw at bottom left appears to be for grounding.
