warm up cycle then off

Help! My beloved DSR922 is behaving strangely. After roughly 5 mins., it clicks off then goes through the warm up cycle, will work for another 4 or five mins., then bang, it does it again. I've tried unplugging it for several minuets but that doesn't correct the issue. Any ideas?

Remove the LNB cables and then plug it in and see what happens, could be a bad cable shorting out

Going on 20 mins now.
So far so good.

Bad LNB or cable.

Yup, bad LNB or cable... There's a protection circuit in the DSR series of receivers, that will shut it down if too much current is drawn at the LNB port, such as a short in the cable somewhere, or the LNB itself.

That has to be the problem. With the cable unplugged from the receiver, it stays on.
