washed looking video

I recently installed an Infusion receiver. I get lots of channels but man is the video quality ever poor. The colours are fuzzy and the overall picture looks badly washed. Good strong signals. Nopixilation. Just washed. Is this normal ? or do I have a bad unit maybe ?

short equip info;
Nfusion,30"dish with invacom LNB. DiSEqC 1.2 motorized H-H Motor. cables are hooked from LNB to switch, then to motor then from motor to receiver.

How is it hooked up from the receiver to the TV?

Thanks for your reply Iceberg,

I've used all the formats provided. Direct to the television. Even checked that the TV inputs work from other machines to eliminate the TV as a possible fault.
If you've ever had an old tv that had a tube about to burn out. That's what this looks like. I'm suspicious that the Infusion may be suffering a bad power supply.

what channels is it doing that? some just look bad from the get go
