Snow is forecasted for the deep south tonight, north AL and Tenn, N Ga will all get something, so prepare for possible RTV outages. Latest I have heard is rain turns to snow after midnight and ending sometime early Wednesday. I have my broom ready lol.

I also have noticed that bad weather in the winter at RTV's site effects what you get on AMC9.My question here is why does RTV on AMC3-c not seem to get effected by weather like AMC9?.Is this because c band dosnt get messed up as much due to weather as ku?

C-Band is only minimally affected by rain. I can't speak for snow, since we don't get much of that down here. I can receive channels from my C-Band dish perfectly when Ku-Band is completely gone. I do notice a slight reduction in quality during heavy rain, but its very minimal.

Hey we lucked out here, nothing at all this morning when I looked outside. I love these non-winter weather advisory statements. But the people further up the eastern seabord are going to get it.
