Kind of a misnomer....new subscribers can't subscribe to the Welcome Pack

If you want to split hairs you are correct. You'd be signed up under AT120 for a day then moved to Welcome Pack (per previous posts) the 2nd day

There's no limitations on equipment, but the Welcome Pack is not available to new subscribers. A DVR would cost $6/month, and an additional receiver would range from $7-$17 a month (a solo non-DVR would be $7)

Matt, thanks for the reply. So if it's not available to new subscribers, (strange calling it welcome package. ) ) As I'll have equipment for her could I have her sub with whatever lowest pack is at time and then after 1 month switch her to welcome package? If I understand correctly if on a new subscription none of the equipment is leased then there would be no minimum term commitment correct?

They still offer Dish Family? I thought it was discontinued. If so how much is it now?

Also can you add premiums to it? The last time I read about it, which was a while ago, I thought I saw you weren't allowed to add premiums to it.

Dish Family is $24.99 a month and it had been discontinued for a while but it has been reinstated. You can add premium channels to any of our packages but there will be no HD add-on available, so only HD would be locals and premium HD channels. No DISH Platinum or EPIX packages.

if the links dont work click on something in the support tab (but not the support tab)
now under support there is "programming" and shows Welcome Pack & Family

I tried the Welcome Pack over the late spring and summer when our tv viewing is down. It worked out really well. Saved some money and stayed with Dish instead of getting the first year discounts from Direct. It's a nice option to have, especially in this economy. Hope Dish keeps offering it in the future.

Maybe DISH should offer a "Welcome Porn Pack " for all low cost customers who want to save $$$ . Then DISH could say:"they are making money Hand over fist", offering the lowest price for Adult entertainment in the industry.

I logged into my account and as you can see under alacarte the Latino Bonus is greyed out...can't add
Here are the alacarte items...too bad "multisport" is greyed out
