Well I should be getting my new 30" dish..

You can use the same lnb for either size dish. It is the arm length that is different. 30" dish has longer arm to get right focal point.

ok here's what I noticed, I first tried to go with the original LNB, (from the 18" dish) hooked up to the 30" dish's arm, and I didn't notice any real change in signals, I was getting 96 sat quality, and about 78 power. I then switched the lnb to the one that came with the 30" dish, and it bumped it up to 98, (99 when clear skies are out) and a power of 89!So of course I just used the lnb that came with the 30" dish. By the way this evening, clouds moved in and it started raining, very light, but this is the same type of rain that used to wash the signal out with the 18", and my picture is steady, quality is now 95, and power 85. Everything is looking good.
