Hello,
Aside from trying to steal dish network HD (which no one on this forum should do), what can you get with the consumer-grade 8PSK tuner board for a FTA receiver?
thank you,
--Gary

There are a few C-band channels that need 8psk, with more coming as DVB-s2 8psk becomes more common over North America. I doubt anyone would buy such a board for what's currently available. By this time next year, though, hard to say. Most of us would like a combined dvb-s/dvbs-2 , HD , 4:2:2 capable, mpeg2 and mpeg4(h.264) compatible box, for a reasonable price.

:)

Unfortunately the board the OP is talking about is not for DVB-S2 it is for turbo 8PSK. Which there isn't really anything up there right now that is not encrypted.

What channels are DVB-S2?

Does anyone know of any FTA channels in DVB-S2?
thanks again!

I wish pansat would get off there asses and get their dvbs2 board out, thats what im waiting for. IM hoping that if I wait like a good little boy it will include 4:2:2 but its wish full thinking.

ya know I never tried it...there was nothing up at the time that I could get.

The issue is on C-Band when there is a DVB-S2 feed the 6 footer is too small to lock it :(

I still have the 8000 here so maybe I can try it out one of these days :)

Isn't there a data DVB-S2 on Ku somewhere?
