Hey guys, I am looking @ a 1920x1200 monitor and not a 1920x1080 monitor.
I think both will do fine, but since my laptop is 1920x1200 I'd like to have some consistency.
But I may reconsider going 1920x1080.

I also do lots of FPS gaming, so 1920x1200 looks very good.

The links that you provided refer to Asus ML249H monitor, which is mislabeled as IPS.
If you check the ASUS' web site, it clearly states that this model is MVA, not IPS.
The only 24" IPS monitor that I could find at ASUS' website is PA246Q
It's a very good monitor, but it retails for around $500!
For an IPS monitor, Dell's $339.99 is a very good price.
Whether the IPS' color accuracy matters to the OP or not, of course is a different question. :)

I get employee discount through my company from Dell.
So this monitor would cost me $312.55 from Dell Directly + 3 years advanced warranty. (next business day replacement)

It's a very good deal if you compare other monitors in this price range.
Plus the color accuracy is going to be superior.

Unfortunately it doesn't have HDMI, but I think I can do fine without it.

These two are good choices l unless it has to be IPS.

Alienware OptX

Well that is a pretty sweet deal then.As Ilya stated you can get an adapter for the hdmi input

Not really looking to get an alienware monitor...the price is up there.
Wanted to stay within the $300 range.

Excellent choice, i'm no fan of Dell but they do make good monitors. I like this one because it maintains the real monitor standard of 1920x1200 not the HD TV standard of 1920x1080. It makes a difference in gaming.
