What's for dinner ?

I had a work from home day today. At lunchtime I put together a batch of tomato sauce and meatballs. With lots of garlic, the way I like it. That was on the "simmer burner" since around 1:30pm. Around 4:30pm I assembled a 16" meatball parmigiana hero and stuck it in a 400 degree oven for about 15 minutes. It came out perfect!

for the chef.

Sausage with peppers and onion hero (sub/grinder). One whole large loaf of Italian bread from my local bakery. Five hot Italian sausages from my local butcher. homemade tomato sauce. green pepper and onion sauteed in olive oil with fresh garlic and oregano. Put it all together and topped with mozzarella. Baked in a 400 degree oven for 17 minutes to melt the cheese and make the bread a little crisp. Served with a light green salad and homemade vinaigrette. Hazy IPA or two for the chef. My wife, son and I murdered it! Not a crumb was spared.
