The only reason this made the news is because it has to do with a high profile player at a high profile college, Notre Dame. If it was a lesser known player at a lesser known college, it wouldn't of made news.

They didn't just report it on ESPN when I was channel surfing before work...it was THE lead story.
Media folks should lay off the kid (as he's still a kid). Please raise your hands if you haven't done anything dumb or fell for anything when you were 22.
Am 37 and I still do dumb things on a regular basis.
