Will i be ok ?

My tenant throw out their Directv receivers (D10-300) in the trash (2 of them)
I took them out since i didnt see any physical damage
so i hooked them to my Directv antenna to see if it will work and i got a picture on channel 100 and 200 the PPV preview channels
so it works


How would i go about activating them to my account ? will directv require me to get new access cards ? or could i use the access card that came with recievers ?

I am pretty sure you will need to get new access cards. They are $20 I believe.

BTW.. if you whine and complain about the charge on access cards they will give you a $25 credit on your bill. You really gotta hammer the CSR, but they will give you the credit.

if the Recievers are clear, you can get new cards free if you are a new customer, and nice and kind....

or put em back in the trash and order new service and get a HD/DVR (or HD or DVR) free + 3 non-HD receivers installed free (restrictions of free apply)
