Hello Jason and Long Gunman for this information.
Long Gunman I don't think I can move a dish out here in California this way is all freeway and busy streets , which I could, I will take it apart like Jason did his dish.
Thanks again for this information.
Regards.

Rt 460 East to get my first dish here was about 15 miles of 4 lane dual highway and I did run the 60 MPH speed limit with that dish on that trailer. But yeah, Mexipornya is probably a much different animal than what I have to deal with here in Virginia! :oldwink

I've driven with 10-12 foot similar set-up as Lone Gunman here in Northern California. Hauled upright with mount lashed to trailer sides, keeping everything inside the lanes. Not even a second look while on side roads and I-80 with no problems. Transport during off-peak hours and minimize travel through heavy traffic areas.

Hello Jason
Regarding the colors that you use to paint the dish, is this Duplicolor Machinery Gray (DA-1612) a flat paint, I looked it up and was not able to find the details, out here is only sold at the auto parts stores for some reason, I like the colors.
Please let me know.
Thanks in Advance.
Regards.

I'd call the Machinery Gray a semi-flat paint. Bought mine from O'Reilly Auto Parts.

The paint seems to be holding up to weather - The panels are all outside and it's coming up on a year since I painted the parts

Hello Jason
I was able to find this paint out here, I painted the mount with it and it has a little shine on it , Just wonder if this paint will interfere with the signal quality.
Any Information would be appreciated.

Below is what I came up with after painting.
97897-a682c561c4c9a914c88d45e9547d0bed.jpg

On the flat surfaces, there is a bit of shine but not overly glossy. The sheen was very similar to the unexposed areas on the backside of the dish I recovered. There isn't the sheen on the mesh portions as compared to the flat surfaces.

Someone please correct me (I'd like to know too), but I don't foresee an issue with the overall finish of the dish with this sheen.
