Loyal D*'ness
No question where my loyalties lie. Without putting a slanted perspective on the situation the main reason most of us are here is because of programming selection. Despite my
post here and the fact that I actually sent D* a paper letter I am still their customer. It is likely to remain so for me as they have the programming I like to watch.
I would never question, now, that the HD Voom has to offer far exceeds what D* can offer me today, I do not believe this will be the case in about 7 months. That does not mean that D* will resist the temptation to screw that up too ... it might happen.
I have not liked cable in the past due to poor picture quality. I have not liked E* in the past due to inferior hardware. I did not stick with Voom very long because it was too much of a hard sell to the family and the premium HD Movies channels we're all I watched ... I missed the SD content I was used to having. It has been stated several times in these forums the only way we can get what we all want is to have 3 providers cable, sat and Voom.
To be honest I want D* to fix the SD before they add HD .. except for sports, and that is the kicker for me, I am an NFL ST sub and there is only one place to get 8 games a week in HD. This too may change, but for now, it is what it is.
HD Lite does suck, but the football is kinda worth it for now. I say that because I an currently getting 30.99 in credits per month from D* ... that takes away some of the bite.
In the future I'll expect a full 18-20 Mbps from my D* HD.
