Can anyone please enlighten me as to if these are "safe" for general browsing? I'm not real savvy in this area and T-Mobile is rather weak in some parts of Houston so this would come in handy if the Hotspot is not a threat. I'm familiar with basic PC stuff but this isn't one of them.

Thanks

Just saw this, but for general browsing it's fine. Here in N GA, Comcast actually has most towns around here completely covered with Wi-Fi city-wide by placing these "boxes" on the poles near their lines and it sends signals out on roads and into all businesses. I ran a speed test the other dsy and it was giving me about 20-25Mbps down and about 20Mbps upload. Used Facebook, streamed music, etc. Pretty neat. Hope this helps. (I try to keep from using my banking site but I'm just trying to stay safe because you never know.)
