How hard is it to change to a HH mount from a Polar mount. I have a 6 foot Fortec Star. I have a 3 inch pole do they make HH motors that will fit this size?

I would have installed a HH motor to begin with but I thought my SatHawk Gbox would work with my Fortec Star Receiver and automatically move my dish when I changed channels on its own.

Do they make a DiSEqC 1.2 compatiable Actuator? Or is DiSEqC 1.2 only used on HH motors? I guess I missed something as I was researching info for my new Dish. :(

what motor do you have ?
if its one of the newer HH motors then you probably can move it with the receiver only these commands are passed through the coax.

newer HH motors use USALS or 1.2 to move a dish.. if its an older (old type of H2H motor) then a vbox/ gbox would be needed to accept the 1.2 commands from the receiver and tell the vbox / gbox to move the motor.

older actuator type motors can be used with a v-box / gbox type positioner to accept 1.2 commands ( the vbox / gbox accepts the 1.2 commands from the receiver and tells the actuator to move.)

My receiver says its moving the actuator but it doesn't move.

when i hooked up my receiver to my v-box and then to the actuator
i went into the receiver motor setup page and could tell it to use motor control 1.2 from there i could move the dish east or west using the receiver and then saved the found positions on the receiver and the v-box flashed a saved position #.

now it sounds like you are using an actuator is that correct (or H2H motor like listed above)
there should be to larger motor wires connected to the back of the gbox/vbox and also two smaller sensor wires connected . if your not hearing the gbox/vbox "click" when you tell the receiver to move then something isn't connected correctly.
