Yes! I think. I have the BJU 8600 and it worked. The receiver is a little "clunky" but it works. Did you check their web site? No DiSEqC options though, switch or motor.
Yes, this is an ADTH receiver - you can go to the "Manual Searching" setup page and enter the frequency, symbol rate, and polarization (Vertical or Horizontal) for the transponder you want. Then when quality shows up hit OK and it will find the channels available on that transponder.
Unfortunately no blindscan available, you have to go through this manual step for every transponder.

As you have been told here (and found out for yourself) you can use that 8009 on G25. I just picked up one last week w/BJU dish, and hit everything that was within 8-10 degrees of my true south. It's a pretty crude unit but seems to work pretty well if you are willing to do the manual input.
I don't remember seeing anything in any of the setup menus that indicated you could use it with a universal LNB, next time I have it hooked up I'll look for that.

That looks like the same dish that BJU ships with the receiver, but that sure isn't their logo on it. 
I think ADTH sells a whole package to various sat broadcasters to resell to their subscribers, which includes the receiver, the dish, and the LNB - all made by ADTH.

Is the elevation knob stock, or custom?
Other pictures I'd seen of that dish, didn't suggest such a long elevation fine adjust screw - is it stock or a mod?
We should outfit all our dishes that way! - :up

The black dish is the middle of the 2nd pic is the BJU dish, it doesn't have any logos (or any manufacturer's marking of any kind that I could find).
I really like the elevation adjuster on it, not only does it work well for it's intended purpose but it makes a great handle to turn the dish with. I got the complete system (dish, receiver, LNB....and a Terk OTA hangon antenna
) for $25 locally on Craiglist.

Elev. knob is stock, I think Lak7 posted a close up of it somewhere on here. It's very simple and works well.

I got the same deal on craigslist as well. Receiver, dish and lnbf for $25. My dish is missing the elevation knob though. It had the brackets just not the knob itself. I guess the previous installer didn't install it our lost it. Is the original LNBF taht came with it any good? It says it is a P1705 ADTH single output ku lnbf. It says its outpout frequency is 950-1450 mhz. That doesnt seem normal for a standard lnbf.
If you have the brackets you just need some hardware, maybe a piece of all-thread and you could put anything on the end for a knob.
I didn't have it on in my pics but that is the same LNB I got with mine:

I played with it a little and it worked fine, it is a Standard, 10750.

There have been quite a few of these systems appearing on eBay. Many of the sellers clearly don't bother to figure out how much shipping costs before the listing closes.
I bought two of these systems. One sale turned out OK. After the other listing closed and the seller discovered how much the shipping would be, they left a message on my father's answering machine. (the idiot blindly picked out a number from the phone book and didn't care to follow eBay policy by getting my phone number from them)
Anyway, on the voice message he angrily said "he wasn't going to go in the red on this one" and that I could pay the additional shipping cost. He picked the most expensive shipping option. I countered with telling him about the most cost effective shipping option. He himmed and hawed, refusing to consider FedEx Green and insisted on UPS, saying FedEx didn't have locations close to his house.
I emailed back with FedEx locations he could send the package from. (that were also five miles and less from his house)
Soon after, I received a refund and it said that the package was run over with his car and "damaged". -
It's too bad that only a fraction of these systems' sellers disclose in eBay listings that BJU will cease delivery of training by satellite in less than a year. Considering things, I would have expected better.
I assume you're talking about the dish. Unless you've shipped one or had one shipped, it can be pretty stunning when you realize what it will cost.
You lost me on that one - what difference does it make that BJU is ceasing their sat services if you're buying it as a FTA setup?
Because they don't know of any other use besides BJU. They think it will be worthless.
The guy I delt with, he told me how great it was and I was getting a great deal, and how cheap classes were. Should have seen his face when I told him what I knew, and how much I was going to pay.
Nothing surprises me anymore.
I'm thinking a lot of folks will give 'em to the Goodwill or similar organizations.

Having previously played with a low end receiver, I might give away the BJU receiver, if forced to take it.
Think that's unlikely? A buddy found a DirecTV Phase III dish, new in a box, for $8 at one of those places.
He thought I might want it, so he got it for me.
I eventually outfitted it with an Invacom and put it on Whitesprings, so it didn't go to waste.
