yep. there is no question that miami will want it more than the jets since it would take the jets beating the fins and the pats losing to the bills for the jets to get in. for miami is real simple,just win baby! the question is can the fins be mentally strong enough against weather?
Not entirely correct. If the PATS win the JETS still can get in with a win and a RAVENS loss.

They will probably take a QB and he will be banished to the ineptitude in Detroit thruout his career, If I were a top College QB, I'd declare I was coming back and hope a better team has an off year next year.

Funny you say this. There was actually a fan at the game last week that held a sign that said something similar.
At the time, we still had a somewhat healthy team still led by Derek Anderson. We also had a 2-3 record. Our season was far from lost and we didn't have a lame duck coach at the time. It wasn't until Week 12 when it all fell apart.
Again. We have a lot of talent on this team. Too many injuries, locker room distractions and a lame duck coach led to the sinking ship this season. We'll be back next year.

John Clayton on Cowher
John Clayton was on Mike & Mike, ironically without either Mike, this morning. Clayton said that the Browns are going to offer Cowher $8 million/year and total control. Cowher will say no and the Browns will then increase their offer to $9 million.
Cowher apparently wants 3 things- a big contract, some control over operations, & a QB. Clayton said he would get all 3 in Cleveland, but he doesn't think his ties to Pittsburgh will let him go to Cleveland. When Stephen A. Smith, who is guest-hosting, learned the money was per year, he said "oh, he's going to Cleveland."
Clayton thinks the Jets will likely fire Eric Mangini & offer a similar package to Cowher. He feels Cowher is far more likely to wind up in New York than Cleveland, if he decides to return to coaching this year.

I agree. I think cowher's emotions over the steelers will prevent him from going to the browns but I don't see a problem with him going to the Jets. Is the idea of Marty returning to the Browns over and done with?

Well IMO I doesn't matter much about Home field, when the Steelers had the AFC Championship game at home, they lost. When the Steelers went to the Superbowl(Browns fans don't know what that is like, do they?) last time, they played the championship on the road. So it doesn't matter where the game is, hell I prefer it being on the road. Look at the Giants last year, championship game on the road.
Hell the Steelers and Titans might not even be in the game, it could be in Miami, New England, Denver or San Diego, everything has to go right to win the Superbowl.
10. And now for my player of the week award! I'll have to admit, this award was completely biased, as it brought me great joy yesterday. That joy was brought on by none other than LenDale White by stomping and desecrating a terrible towel. LMAO!!! Awesome!

Here's the funny part - Despite all those WR's we drafted, we are in need of WR's again. We are currently playing with Johnson and a cast of "walk-ons" right now. McDonald and Furrey are on the IR, so we're playing with 4 WR's that weren't even in camp. Don't look for them to draft Crabtree, though. Many more pressing needs, than WR. As for QB's going back to school in order to avoid the Lions, well good luck to them, because the Lions will still have at least a top 5 pick again next season. This mess will not be turned around in 1 season like Miami and Atlanta did.
....*SIGH*....the only we would get a coach of that quality and credibility is if "Skeletor" would kick the bucket.

LOL! Why in the world would the Tuna want to come to Detroit? Not that he would come to Cleveland either, but I think certain disenfranchised teams are much less likely to attract real talent unfortunately.
