You know, if your guys didn't waste 2/3rds of the season screwing the pooch, we could have started the "real season" by now. make sure you make it to the finals, we're looking for an easy championship round.:D

The Avalanche have fell to the bottom of the Western Conference. Unbelievable how the mighty have fallen.

Given the rivalry this team had with Detroit, I'll bet Red Wings fans are already gleeful of the demise of the Avs.

FINALLY! The Ducks have a day's breathing room before the s%&t hits the fan with the Sharks. They have sole possession of 7th place and will be there tomorrow night when they begin a home and home with San Jose which will be brutal to say the least.

The Bruins are one win OR one Washington loss away from wrapping up the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Actually I'm hoping for a Detroit Pens finals. It will be different this year, Crosby and Malkin will win it.

Or maybe the Blues will make a way to the finals and play the Pens...yeah I like that way better.:D

The Bruins clinched best record in the Eastern Conference with their 1-0 win over the Rangers yesterday. The Bruins are now one point behind San Jose for the Presidents' Trophy (both teams have four games left).

Congrats to the Bruins, 112 pts so far, thats quite impressive.
When is the last time they topped 100 pts ?

It's also good to see Chicago back in the playoffs. :)

Congrats to the Columbus Blue Jackets for finally making it :up

well they look like a pretty sure bet at this point.

Jimbo,
I want to say 2001-02 was the last time the Bruins topped 100 points, but I'm not sure.

Your Red Wings are still the team to beat. In fact, I'm picking them to beat New Jersey in the Cup Finals.

And yes, congrats to Columbus on a great coming out season, and it's great to see an Original Six team like the Blackhawks good again! :up

Carolina clinched a playoff berth last night. The Hurricanes are tied for fourth with Philly in the East with 95 points. The Flyers haven't officially clinched yet, but they're as good as in.

They are starting to really scare me at this point. They are 3 points up with only 4 games left. They need to get at least two more wins to make the playoffs a lock. The only other thing that is helping them is the other three teams in contention for a spot have only 3 games remaining on their schedule.

Last four games remaining:
Blackhawks (H)
Blackhawks (A)
Blues (A)
Wild (H)

The Blues and Wild are must wins as they both are still in the playoff picture and could be ones that knock Columbus out.

Bruins announce four-year extension for Thomas
By: Mike Petraglia

The Bruins made it official on Saturday morning by announcing a four-year contract extension for goaltender Tim Thomas, worth a reported $20 million. "I'm very happy to be staying in Boston for the next four years knowing that with free agency coming up potentially this summer, you have to think about would you rather go somewhere else or would you rather stay in Boston and after thinking things over, the answer kept coming back, Boston," Thomas said. The news conference was held at TD Banknorth Garden, some four hours before Boston's scheduled matinee with the New York Rangers. If the Bruins win, they clinch the number one seed in the Eastern Conference for the upcoming Stanley Cup playoffs. For more, visit the Big Bad Blog.
