.....are pretty bad for the iPhone at Apps. Anyone here actually use it? I've been scared off from trying. I have the basic, not premium, subscription on my company car.

I have it and when it works its nice, but I have been finding lately when I go to listen I get a can not connect to server error message many times.

I don't know if there is a probelm or if its just a problem on my end.

Scott has it pegged. "When it works, it's nice"

I've had a couple issues lately after upgrading to OS4 with streaming but it's not just Siri/XM. The pandora app also has problems now. (at least on my phone)

I haven't had any issues. Occasionally it would require me to sign back in, but that was before the update and only occurred twice since it came out.

I am just waiting for the newest SiriusXM App update for iOS4 that will allow backgrounding.

I am with Dodger King. Not an issue with my iTouch or Motorola Droid. I just moved from Sirius online only to the Xmp3i and Added on Online. Everything on both services worked fine.

It's not very consistent on my Nexus One. Ironically, it plays better on 3G than it does on my WiFi, but I think that may be WiFi issues with the phone as opposed to the app. Still, it does come in handy when I have to use a car that doesn't have Sirius XM in it since I can just plug it in to the tape deck/input, as opposed to bringing my entire car kit to the new car.

Update: Since upgrading to FroYo, the app has taken a bit of a nose dive. While it used to run quite well on my 3G, now it is doing this annoying thing where the audio will get caught in loops, where it will be playing normally then trip up and start playing a particular part over and over again. Maybe this is just a channel 197/202 issue, but seeing as that is the channel I listen to most on the app, it is still a problem.

I have been using Froyo for a month, and Sirius XM has been great on my Droid. We used it for probably 8 or 9 hours on the trip to Florida. It doesn't like multi-tasking much (particularly if you just have one bar of service), but I ran it for 3 hours straight one day (phone was on the ac charger); it did not even heat up much.

Now if they would just get rid of the male enhancement commercials that they run over and over again.

I had the audio loop problem once, come to think of it. But we were in Alabama, and the cell service wasn't great. I wasn't sure if it was just a connectivity issue or if it was a particular channel. I remember we were using Blue Collar Comedy when it happened, and we just switched to a different channel and the problem went away.

I just tried re-installing the app. I can't test it out right now, but hopefully that'll resolve the issue. The looping thing has basically crippled the app for me otherwise.

the app works on my iphone but not on my blackberry tour 9630. The blackberry gives error messages like crazy and sometimes has to be rebooted when i try to launch the blackberry version of the app.

I had the skipping problem on my Droid the other day, but changed channels and it went away. A little annoying, but I am running a rooted rom, so there could have been a bunch of reasons why it is malfunctioning, including the fact that the Droid is OC'd.

I'm having the same problem. I've noticed that when I start out, the loop is a few minutes, and gets shorter and shorter. This is a serious sirius problem. Unless they fix it ... and I haven't a clue as to whether or not they are even aware of it, the app is useless.

I reinstalled the app and I still had the issue. The app is now basically useless to me as well. I don't think there's much that can be done to remedy this since it very much feels like a problem with the app itself. All I'd suggest is let Sirius know of the problem by calling and emailing them. Hopefully if they get enough complaints they'll move on it.

I've been using the app since I got my Evo in early June. I use is almost daily at my office in Charlotte over 3G, and never had any problems that I can recall. Works very nice on the Evo.

Well, I'm going to have to give it a try.

I was sitting in Johns Hopkins the other day with my son, wondering how bad traffic would be getting back home, so when should I leave, etc etc. Then I thought I've gone thru this how many times before? CLICK.

So I'll dl it tonight.

Anybody know exactly what I'll need to provide to get it going? I have Sirius (standard, not premium) on my company car, a Jetta. Is there some number I need to get out of that radio to enter? I've never set up Sirius for anything away from the car. Maybe I should do the iPhone (3GS) and my work & home PCs.

I don't think the app has their traffic stations on it. You're better off just using traffic.com's mobile site.
