Johnny Miller says Woods is now an ordinary professional golfer...

This weekend should be a good barometer to measure Eldrick's level of play.

In his 10 previous visits to Firestone he's won 7 and never finished out of the top 5.

Hmm, looks like we've found out already...

So much for the good vibes, positive feelings and overall excellence that punctuated every previous professional appearance for Tiger Woods at Firestone Country Club.

The world's No. 1 golfer shot his worst score ever in 45 rounds dating back to 1997 on Firestone's South course, home of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.

Maybe it's the goatee?

Seriously, this has got to be embarrassing. The one course that he's dominated in the past. If there were a course to make a "comeback", this would be it. Instead, out of the 80 something golfers, he's playing some of the worst golf in the entire field!

I wonder if he'll skip out on next weeks PGA Championship to save from more embarrassment?

LOL I wonder when everyone is going to start crawling back to him on their hands and knees? Apparently not today.

I feel sorry for whoever's in front right now because he's not the story, it's 'how badly Eldrick's game has gone into the toilet' leading the coverage... :(

Eldrick has a new scapegoat for his poor play. His kids are to blame.

He also attributed it to lack of practice.

"Just had to go back to basics and practice a little bit more," Woods said. "I haven't worked on my putting probably as much as I should have the last couple of years. So had to go back to that."

Putting was his primary focus in the two weeks he has been at home in Florida since the British Open.

Why did he stop practicing as much in the first place?

"I haven't had time," he said. "I haven't had as much time to practice overall, with the kids. Life has changed."

Rumor is Nike is even pissed at him.

On the eve of the British Open, Tiger switched to a Nike Putter over his longtime putter of choice by Scotty Cameron. The announcers made a huge point to make sure everyone knew this. Then, on the final day of The Open, when Tiger was already out of contention, he abruptly switched back to the Scotty Cameron putter, essentially blaming Nike and his poor play for all to see on national TV. That can't be good for business. I bet Nike has a helluva time selling putters from here on out.

Does anybody watch Breaking Bad on AMC? The very first scene in the first episode this season made me think of Tiger Woods and this forum because it was so dirty. :D

When he isn't playing good with either putter, it probably isn't a big deal:D

If he's struggling with one putter, can you blame him for trying another ?

I would take that for what it IS, He hasn't practiced enough ....
He's NOT blaming his KID'S.

But if thats how YOU want to take it, go ahead.

LOL!! He does not live in the same house as his kids live, and now suddenly the haters are stating he is blaming the kids for his game.

Everytime I see there's a new post in this thread I sigh and wonder why I still post or even browse this forum anymore if this is the kind of topic people actually feel is worth discussing.

You can roll your eyes all you want, but reading is fundamental. Go back and read the quote I bolded on the last page. He's obviously not blaming the kids directly, but the fact that he has to spend 'quality' time with them now or possibly lose them to Sweden.

Eldrick should have done what he first said he was going to do and get his private life in order first and then come back to golf. His head is definitely not in the game now.
