I have just loaded it and watching it now.

Found it on the Euro forums, here is what they say:
____
New software has been released, following optimization:
1 Shows a list of programs to increase 3 but can not chang SAT by arrow left or right.
2 Optimize the some sound noise problems.
3 Optimization CCCAM chain scission restart problem.
4 Quick-change restart optimization problem.
5 Optimization *** reader questions.
6. Kill the clone
_____

I SAY: So far so good. It has a 3 column channel list and networking which I was looking for. To bump over a sat or two use pg up/pg dn as left and right on the list no longer do it. Wife already said don't change it so I can't play for awhile.

I forgot, I think most of the stuff listed for it is for their card sharing. I guess with a sub over there you can share it between boxes and of course they steal it somehow...

I just wanted the 3 column list and networking. I just found out you can load FW with it. Can't get DHCP to give it an address...I'll have to look at it. For over an hour it has been stable on an HD channel, good audio sync etc. I really like the new channel list and well...wife needs to go to bed.!

If they made page up / page down the satellite-changing keys, how do you page through the channel list? It seems to me that navigating a channel list will now be harder, not easier.

Jim of its like the s10file I like it better. Its 3 wide arrow left right up down select channel.

I finally got around to loading it tonight. It's too early to tell for sure, but so far I don't have any audio sync problems, including on a program I recorded with the previous version that did have sync problems. (Although, I checked the file on my computer first and was relieved to find that it was recorded with no sync problem!)

I have to disagree with yankee's statement that you can change satellites from the channel list using the page-up and page-down keys. That doesn't work for me, they change pages on the channel list (as they should.) But at least I can use the left and right arrows to change satellites if I go into the satellite list through the menus -- it's just easier to use the pop-up channel list that you get by hitting the select button while watching a channel, but now I can't change satellites from it without having to hit the zoom button. (I have a version 1 remote.)

Right, but I can get there by hitting the satellite list button / zoom button too. My point is it's extra steps to do that and then scroll through the list if you only want to move a few satellites, vs. using the left and right arrows while the satellite list is on the screen. That, plus the 3-column list cuts the names way too short to tell what some of them are, especially if there are a lot of similar ones on one satellite!

JIM,

I should've been more clear. You can change satellites using the page-up and page-down keys. Without hitting ok, on the main screen hit pg up/pg down -up is East and down is west.

Thanks. I wonder if that's new with this release, or if it's been there a while?
