NCAA Football 2011-2012

I believe Brad Edwards has alreadty mentioned that it will be LSU and Bama weather LSU wins or not.
They are too far ahead of everyone else.

Brad Edwards has been wrong all year long, however it does look like a sure thing considering all the voters so far have had SEC stamped on their foreheads to remind them how to vote.

Well I've not lost all faith in the BCS.... Stanford jumps VT after VT beats a ranked in 3 diff polls 38-0 while Stanford beats a crappy ND team that was barely ranked at 24 in BCS while ND scored twice on them? I know there are alot here that say Stanford is a better team but I disagree with this jump based on this weeks production against teams that were evenly matched and even 8-4 records!!

Maybe Stanford and VaTech will meet so we will know for sure ...

Won't happen... Orange Bowl is last in picks this year so Stanford will go to one of the others since they are in top 5 and VT gets slapped in the face and forced to play a Big East team... #23 West Va is only one ranked but who cares?? VT is getting pulled into the Big East's mess and it's not fair to the #3 or #4 team in the country to have to play them... Vt needs more recognition and if that means playing a top 10 team and losing then ohh well..better IMO than playing West VA and winning.

Great... VaTech down here with West Virginia. This sucks. I almost missed the days of getting the Big 12 and an Indendent.

Most bowl games are awful. With the tie ends and the number of bowls, these games have become meaningless. The only good thing is the extra practice time.

Really no difference between ND and Virginia. They have nearly identical schedule and loss's.

I think the biggest difference is Oregon destroyed Oregon st, (which Oregon is stanfords only loss) where as VTechs only loss got throttled by South Carolina. You really needed Clemson to win to make your case. But Clemson now has 3 losses thus really hurting your strength of schedule.

Yeah ummm I would rather have a Stanford VT rematch... anyone else but a Big East team cause that won't bring nothing and really only hurts VT.

Well maybe if your team didn't lose a game they would be playing for the NC.

Stanford didn't play Va Tech this year... but I'd like to see it.

College teams change drastically each year with graduations, where as the NFL doesn't change that much.

Ohh really? So Bama lost a game why should they get to play the same team again for it..didn't win division..didn't win conference yeah this makes sense.

But really even if VT didn't play for the NC they should get to play a decent top 10 team and not a left over Big East team.

Why is it they have to play the Big East team ?
There are not nessasarily tie ins in the BSC games, they have teams other than the Big 10 and Pac 10 in the Rose Bowl.

Just depends on how it shakes out.

Ok um the SEC is a stronger and harder conference to play in than the ACC plus Alabama lost to the number 1 ranked team in overtime by a field goal and VT lost to Clemson.

Clemson took it to your team 23-3.
Bama and LSU was a tight 3 point contest.

And Clemson will get theirs this week in a revenge rematch.... BC got lucky in 2007 and look what happened when they rematched up against VT being ranked #4 at that time ;)

But as for the Orange Bowl just so happens they are last to choose this year so they have to take whats left and that's the Big East Champ and that may come down to a 3 way tie..so wtf.

The issue is, will your team be up to play the game and show the world how good they are, or will they be like some teams and show up dis interested and play poorly and potentially lose the game.

The BCS is the one that matters. It is the only one that matters. And ND was ranked 22 in the BCS, Auburn was 24.

As for VT falling, it is the unbiased computers. They didnt improve in those. Aren't the computer rankings the ones you wanted to keep to make sure they are not biased?

Edit: the Va Tech Computer rankings:
7 7 10 7 9 18 7

That's last weeks comp numbers... wait till tonight I'm sure that gap will get knocked over - don't be surprised if VT slips into #3 just as the coaches poll is showing.

This weeks Va Tech Computer numbers.

8 9 9 13 18 11

There is one missing, im not sure why, but it would seem that last weeks were better.

Not trying to rub it in, I am just pointing out why Va Tech wont bein the BCS NC game no matter what they do. The computers can see the weak conference schedule.
Im honestly shocked that the voters give them that much respect.

Big East Expansion?

When will Ohio State get the final resolution from the NCAA?
