It's here!

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger - I placed my order @ 2AM June 20th & its still "waiting to ship."
If there is no confirmation of shipping email by the end of day Tuesday, 7/10, then I'll contact the office. Patience.;)

I ordered right at midnight when the online sale started and mine's still waiting to be shipped too. So don't feel alone. I heard the ones coming from this next batch are 22k gold plated! :D

Ordered mine on the 20th of June. Only heard that the shipment was late and it was due in on the 29th of June. Since then, nothing. No updates as to when it will ship. Called Tuesday, and the receptionist said that they expect to ship this week but nothing definate. I am also on the East Coast.

Seems as though many people are not seeing the shipping status updates.

Here is the latest update as of yesterday. :)

With all due respect, this is not the information that is reflected on the item description at SatAV website which shows a shipping date of 6/29/12 and last updated 6/26/12. While this is an awesome forum, I should not have to visit here first to get up to date product information which may be why there is some confusion concerning shipping information.

I'm sure Brian will update his site asap. I know he has got a lot on his plate right now.

Sorry.... Oversight. Fixed!!!

yeah it is TINY

I didn't think it was this small. Wow.

A few quirks...remote pickup is horrible. Had to point it at the place where I sit. Glad I had the composite cables as it came up in 1080p and didn't detect my TV didn't have that like other receivers do. It's an older 57 inch that was retired to the back room that only does 1080i. The menus need some navigational polishing to make things shine as I kept getting lost on what to push to navigate back. But those things are minor. Blind scanning my first satellite now. One shows failed, guess that's a data only transponder.

Will write up some details and maybe some polishing can get added to some or the future upgrades. Looks great for an initial release so far though.

Maybe the IR pick-up is not up against the window? Can you see into the IR window with a flash light. The sensor should be about 1/8"+ back from the plastic. Maybe it was pushed back further during assembly.

The random sample testing results of the IR function have a 50+ degree window and 25+ foot range.

You can turn on the auto detect, but that is often problematic with older HDMI cables and TVs. We will set future factory firmware to 720p_60 or lower.

In doing some tests for Brian tonight, I am still amazed at how good the signal reception is on this box!

Tonight I went to 105 for NBC on C Band. Hooked up my AZbox and it could hardly lock on the transponder with the East coast NBC feed. Next I hooked up the Manhattan and it locked better but broke up a lot. Then I re hooked up the microHD and got the NBC feed in nice and clear with zero breakup (and again that is without moving the dish!)

I really like the tuner in this box! In fact I really like this box!

Why you gotta make me drool like this...:D

Did some blind scanning and I find it quick even on detail. Considering all the different modulations it will pick up.

Had a few break ups but nothing serious. It was raining here and overcast.

Only real annoying thing is that moving dish message. Is there a way to turn it off? It makes you wait to do anything even though the video is up. I know when the dish is moving and don't need to be told. It seems you can skip it a bit in the satellite setup if you press a key but then sometimes it jumps over 2 or 3 satellites making the dish moving wait screen come up again. So you have to bump back over to the satellite you were on and guess what? The moving dish wait screen comes back up. Ha!

Hardware wise...looks great and works great. Software can be tweaked and fixed with time.

Great job and great product, satelliteav! Would definitely buy again if I had to do it over.

SatelliteAV said it will be fixed in a later firmware revision. You can get rid of the message by pressing the "Exit" key.

I feel like I'm sending the dish all over the place when I am browsing the menus, it would be nice if the last satellite you were working on in a menu was saved in RAM so that when you go into a different menu it would be the same satellite.

How long are blind scans taking you? To me it feels a bit slow than I would have liked, I'll have to time it to see how long it actually takes.

Blind scan times will vary widely. Factors include number of carriers, complexity of services, compliant tables carrier strength, etc.... Some satellites might only take less than two minutes and log hundreds of channels while other satellites take upwards of eight to ten minutes and find one or two channels!
