Was the Officials rule about not being able to advance a recovered On Side kick correct ?
My thoughts exactly ....
Terrible call.
Made me think of Mornigweg taking the WINDS in OT against the Bears.
Also, alot happened on that 4th down play ....
You had your Big back (who was VERY productive all day ... Leshore) and failed to use him.
The QB had been in shotgun the whole time he had been in there and they want him to run a sneak ? then the center snapos the ball a count early, he was the only one that moved, very easy for the D to stop him.
Just a very poor decision over all.
I hated Sparano getting this win. especially with all the chances Miami had to win this one.

Scott Hansen of NFL RedZone mentioned about how can you not go for the FG. I think you have to do it. Go with what works and play from there. You lose a game like that and means a lot when it comes playoff time.
I saw the last play before the half when the Cardinals scored the TD. It looks like they knocked Vick into a different time zone.

The game was scheduled to start at 4:25, the early game went long, actually till 4:50 THEN the locals picked up ANOTHER OT game instead of going to the Steelers / Raiders, the game that was suppose to be on didn't show up till about 5:10-:15
Was it the same in your local ?
Whose responsible for this, the locals stations, the NFL or the ST and D* ?
IF your PAYING for the ST, you'd think that they woulds turn the game on the ST channel when the games run late, after all thats what your PAYING for.
What happened in other areas ?

You didn't have a early game that went late that pre empted it then ?
Then again, the Raiders game wouldn't be your Local game either...
I posted in the Directv thread but CBS really screwed up
Minneapolis only had a late game due to the Vikes being at home on Fox (no game can go against it on local TV)
So at 3:00 I turn on CBS. JB talks about the late game and we'll go to that "soon" but for the time being they'll send us to NO/KC.....we never went away
Had to see the rest of the game with a kickout to Indy to see the last play and to Miami for the FG at end of game and OT
Why would we stay with the NO/KC game when we didnt see 95% of the game????
They FINALLY went to the Denver/Houston game at 4:00 Central
Now next week FOX has the DH so our local CBS is showing only a late game (Vikes on road so they could show a noon game) so we'll see if they go directly to that game at 3:15 instead of making us watch EVERY OTHER EARLY GAME END first
Jimbo I assume the only markets that went to the late game when it was suppose to were the local teams affiliates

I'll take a wild guess. Maybe the audience watching NO/KC was going to get Denver/Houston? But I dont understand why they just didnt go to the Texans game on time. I guess because you dont live in the area? Obviously, if you live in Denver and/or Houston they go right to the opening kickoff.

You ARE allowed to advance a On Side kick ?
IF SO, then they may have cost the Lions this game, they would have had the ball around the 25 yard line.
