Kijiji, eBay, and Craigslist dishes for you to take a look at

OK, who got it. Listing deleted. And what is it. Inquiring minds want to know.

Free 10ft metal satellite dish
I have a ten foot metal satellite dish mounted on a post in my front yard, if you want the dish you have to take the pole and concrete footing as well. The whole set up is still in the ground so bring your shovel.

$50 - Muzak dish, NIB - Allison Park, PA

That's probably a molded 1m Andrew (or maybe Prodelin) with a nice feed, on a NPRM.
Hard to turn down. ;)

Never saw it. I search on the term "satellite dish" in the title only. Too many hits otherwise. The prices some want are pretty funny.

hard to impress

i dont know if you posted this one but the person wants $1,000.
i emailed back with offer of $40.
plus i told the person they arent worth that much anymore.
I'm so underwhelmed by the picture, not sure I'd pay much attention to it .
But if it was close to home, and I wanted an 8' BUD, $40 is fair.
Hope it's not damaged, and has the motor on the mount.

As for their old receiver, I might haul it away, and never offend them by saying it 's useless.
If it was a 4Dtv model, I might find a SatGuy/Gal crazy enough to want it, and give it to them. ;)

I'll grab that one. Looks like an 8' Channel Master, just like the one I grabbed last year. Anyone disagree on the make and size?

:::EDIT:::

Wait, is that a solid one piecer? Birdview? Looks like 8', though. I think the Birdview has closer spaced lnb legs. I can't tell if it's a segmented dish or not. If it's segmented it's gotta be channelmaster.

Definitely not a Birdview, and I can't tell if it is one-piece or not, either.

I can see some "lines" in the reflector but think they may just be the "shadows" of molded ribs on the back showing through on the front.

Compared to my 8' CM, this LNB cover looks more conical, plus the center "hole" in the dish is not there, which is covered by a plastic disc ~10" dia on the CM. Not a CM on further consideration.

Quick response to my email. They say, "Come get it".

Just another pair of eyes

Not a Birdview.
They have six legs. ;)

From that angle, I can't see the bend in the legs as a ChannelMaster/Andrew would have.
Nosecones get changed, so I wouldn't bet the farm on that alone.

On first look, I thought it might possibly be a rare Chris Craft fiberglass dish...?
Can't really decide if it's molded, or solid aluminum.

Certainly worth a look.
Most desirable: ChannelMaster
Second choice: spun/stamped aluminum solid
Proceed with caution: any other fiberglass

PS: I once mistook a perforated Paraclipse 8' Hydro, for an unknown solid due to bad picture.
The dish rim had a unique flat edge, and eventually it was identified! ;)
