Yep good thing those break down to 8 panels...still heavy though..
Would it be a good idea to start disassembling there reflector first? Only have 2 people for help.
Okay thanks! Any idea what brand it it? I didn't see anything on the back. What is with the guy wires on the LNB?
I didn't look at the full-size pics but the guy wires are typically used to center and/or stabilize a buttonhook-type feed support.
Got the reflector down and home. Came down without too much trouble. Can anyone tell me how to get the mounting hardware off the pole? There were no bolts in the sleeve to clamp on to the pole, I'm guessing its on a 5" od pole. There is only one bolt that goes vertically down into the pole. Is this the only one holding it? I'm going back to get it off Saturday and the pole has to stay sadly:frown:
Congradulations on your find. I am brand new to C-Band and loving it. I found my 10' Winegard Pinnacle just down the street. It was mounted on the top of a small hill (was allot of work to get it down). It was filthy, rusty, full of crow poop, and had been shot up with a BB gun by the neighborhood kids. I spent weeks cleaning it up and getting all the BB dings out. Another week spent to get the pole up and clean up the acuator. Now, it's all done and all I have to do is lay back and let the good times roll. That 12' is going to pull in some nice stuff.

Now that you got it up and running, just IMAGINE how much nicer it would be with an orthomode feed setup..... MUWAHAHA!

Yep, most likely just loosening that bolt on the top should let it off the pole.
Don't break it. May need to spray it liberally with Kroil or PB Blaster.
If the bolt backs out(up) without loosening the mount, maybe a smack with a hammer to push it back down, to release the internal clamp.
May also need a smoke wrench to encourage it to release.

I hate to appear ignorant but I'm so new to this hobby that I don't even know what an orthomode feed setup is
. The dish came with a dual band Chaparral Feedhorn and 2 California Microwave LNB's. The servo was burnt out so I didn't even get to try it. Currently I'm using a WSI NS741 Standard Linear LBNF. I am having some small reception problems. The image freezes periodically (about a half second). I set the skew on some weak TP's so I feel that it's set right. Also, signal isn't dropping out. Is this the disadvantage of using an LBNF? I bet the LNB's I have are good. I'd just need to buy another Chaparral C-Band feed horn.

A c-band only orthomode feedhorn isn't all that pricy compared to a c-band and ku orthomode feedhorn. $80 c only - $350 c and ku
But, if you buy everything brand-new, feedhorn, 4 Norsat lnb's, and a modifiable switch you are looking at around at least $500.00. That would give you the ultimate c and ku performance. You will never match the performance of an orthomode with a $40 dual c/ku lnbf
