Ok I just tried installing the receiver and I'm getting a message can't detect swm. Please help!

I meant swm. Sorry this is all so confusing. I connected the cable and all and it's telling me it's unable to communicate with the dish.

And at least Dish will allow a Wally on the same account with a H3 I understand, so you can use that in an RV or for tailgating.

AND at least you can also add an external HDD & pay the $40 one-time fee to make it into a DVR; unfortunately you CAN'T move shows from (any) Hopper receiver HDD & play them on the Wally HDD.

The cable runs from the dish to the satellite in connection on the rv itself. Then I connected a short piece of cable from the wall to the receiver.

For a SWiM LNB either a 21v (black colored) or 29v (Gray colored) PI will work.
