2017-18 NCAA Football Thread

Anybody want to play OU in the 1st round? Anybody?
Yes please. This win was not surprising.

Of course I'm saying if the first round isn't now. Lol

Healthy, yeah. I'd love bama to get them.

That said Mayfield is a beast.

UCF/Memphis game was fun to watch. Not much D in game but entertaining. Glad to see Scott Frost returning home to Nebraska as head coach.
Looking like Georgia has made adjustments since first meeting and going to make it a game against Auburn.

FSU AD said they just didn't have the resources to match the offer.

I don't buy that for a moment. They just got tired of the whole situation IMHO.

You mean UCF or FSU? Both losing head coaches or was FSU looking at Frost also. Makes sense if they were.

I think this Auburn/Georgia game will have influence on final 4 if OSU wins. It's better for Alabama if only team to beat them is SEC champion. If Georgia wins and OSU wins I think OSU gets in leaving Alabama out.

I think there may have been hope that Bama And the Buckeyes made it, which may have happened if Oklahoma had lost and OSU won.

Looks like Auburn will be going down, so they will be out with 3 losses, that opens 1 spot.

I think they would of got in over OSU even if OSU won tonight should Auburn had won. Not now however with the Auburn loss by 3 TD's puts OSU in (if they win) and for Alabama it's over nail in the coffin. Oklahoma loss would've just made it a no doubter Alabama's in over OSU all day long in all scenarios except this one.

Had Oklahoma AND Auburn lost (and the Buckeyes won) both Bama and Buckeyes may have gotten in.

This year it looks like Conference Championship means something ...

Ya know, give the committee 6 or even 8 teams and they will make the teams THEY want IN ...
Whoever the Committee wants in, will be there.

The way the Buckeyes are playing right now (2 Turnovers for TDs) (Buckeyes lead Wisconsin 21-10 at the half) in the 1st half .... they would get beat by Oklahoma and Clemson at least.
Georgia I think would be thier best match up.

Unless Barrett didn't play, then Buckeyes would have a better chance against all of them.
Haskins is the real deal and a whole lot better and more accurate passer.

My final 4 for 2017
#1 Clemson will be hard to beat. Very skilled both sides ball and fast.
#2 OU and Georgia very close could go either way.
#3 Georgia
#4 Big 10 champion.

OSU stands little chance against Clemson, After watching the game I'm reconsidering Alabama for the #4 spot. ;)
But it won't happen.

My thoughts ....

Clemson over the #4 team ... Buckeyes win tonight 27-21
OU over Georgia

Clemson over OU.

3 terrible games and a competitive Big Ten game.

Going to be interesting to see what the committee does with Ohio State/Alabama. If they would have blown out Wisconsin that would have been an easy pick. A 6 point win, with an embarrassing loss to Iowa? :shrugs:
