ACC network

Oh for God's sake, they haven't even started the station yet. I'd bet my next paycheck that it will be there at startup. Of course I'm retired but..... :)

Issue isn't that they haven't started it yet...issue is that its not been said "Hey we will have it by the first game they are schedule to show".
All they have to do is say that and issue is solved yet they refuse to do so.
Some carriers as mentioned here and elsewhere are going to carry it like YT tv.. Hulu and whatever but Dish like the other local cable Co's have failed to do is get it finalized and SAY IT!
I'm making arrangements now to make sure I don't miss a game that it shows. Aug 29th 8PM is its first game..that being GT vs Clemson.
I want to watch that game...so if its not live by day before then I'm adding likely Hulu to my TV and Dish will start getting an ear full.

yea ya I could go on and threaten to cancel and so on...but this is the straw that can break the backs of many that sub just for CFB.
I will dislike the added delay Hulu I think has but whatever.

I'd try You tube first because it's free for two weeks then if Dish doesn't have it you can cancel it. I've been watching the game of the week(MLB) on my Xbox and I haven't had any problems.

The buzz is they are finalizing the contract and are ready to go.

I notice in their ads they took out the companies carrying the channel. I believe that to be a good sign.

Sent from my iPhone using the SatelliteGuys app!
I hope so then it will shut up all these people wanting it then we can go to more pressing issues like Meredith and RSN's.:D

I don't know why you would want to say that us wanting it is a bad thing..its a channel that is going to carry a ton of sports games for a ton of fans no matter what platform carries it.

That's the whole point. ACC, SEC, PAC10, Longhorn should only be RSNs, available regionally to subscribers in their respective areas. But due to Disney/ESPN strongarm tactics (extortion), all subs at a certain package level must pay for them.

You mean exactly the same way many people have to pay for USA Channel and a host of other I don't care about in order to get the RSNs?
Also, I get my RSNs without paying for a host of other channels with Flex Pack. Problem is these channels aren't treated as RSNs thanks to Disney. Longhorn network available and paid for nationwide? Ridiculous. Same for the others.

ESPN is throwing a ton of money at the ACC schools like they did SEC schools to make a national channel. You can't blame the subs or the fans for that..we just have to go with what we can to view the games. As for RSN's.. I like watching other teams from other regions and if you went to that available only regionally I would lose out on those games. Same would apply to Alums that were from those schools that have moved out for jobs or family.
Do I believe they could put a sports package together and make it something you can sub to or not like HBO...sure but will it happen...never in my lifetime.
So till then I want the channel... I want it in the package I'm paying for and I'm sorry if that effects others. I would gladly give you a ton of crap channels in its place if that meant helping keep price down.

Nah, I enjoy falling asleep watching late Saturday night pac football and basketball games. Plus b1g will end up being our region, and that conference has some of the worst/most boring, low scoring or mismatched games of the weekend.

Of the providers that still provide ESPN Classic as a linear channel will they replace ESPN Classic with ACC Network? What providers still carry ESPN Classic as a linear channel?

ESPN classic has mostly evolved into a VOD service today. Only DirecTV and AT&T carry it as a linear channel...

For those that compare the RSNs that are carried by obligation in all packages to the rest of the channels in said packages that they don’t like... if the sports channels were in the same ballpark price-wise, it wouldn’t be a big deal. Being many times the cost, it makes it a tough pill to swallow.

ACC Network was added today by Spectrum. Still waiting on Dish.

Hello ChadT41,
At this time, we do not have a contract to carry ACC Network. We are working with the owner of the ACC Network to
see if a fair agreement can be reached to carry this channel on DISH’s line-up. Our top priority is to provide our
customers with the best TV experience possible at the best value.
